Our Vacation Student Program
Our 12-week summer full-time Vacation Student Program is an exciting career opportunity where you will learn, grow and innovate.
Working alongside seasoned professionals across our corporate offices, bauxite mines, alumina refineries or aluminium smelter, you will get practical experience in your chosen field and increase your professional networks, while studying.
Our vacation student roles are as diverse as the people who work for us. From mining, chemical and electrical engineers to specialists in health and safety, environmental science, procurement, finance and more.
Our Graduate Program
Our three-year Graduate Program sets graduates on a career path which will see them contribute to a more sustainable world.
Our three-year full-time customised Graduate Program is just the beginning of an exciting career path where you will learn, grow and innovate. Working alongside seasoned professionals and rotating across our corporate offices, bauxite mines, alumina refineries and/or aluminium smelter, you will use your degree to make a real difference.
Our Apprenticeship Program
Enjoy first-class hands-on training in an inclusive and safety-focused environment over our four-year Apprenticeship Program.
On completion of your apprenticeship, you will receive a nationally recognised trade certificate. Apprenticeship trades include mechanical fitter, fabricator/welder, electrical/instrumentation technician, light vehicle mechanic and heavy-duty fitter.
Our Traineeship Program
Combine on-the-job training with TAFE studies and within 12 to 18 months you will obtain a nationally recognised qualification.
Alcoa trainees work in unique and challenging technical environments while receiving a great wage and leave entitlements. Trainees also benefit from increased employment, education and growth prospects.
